My priority is to provide the highest level of sports physical therapy in the Rockville, MD area. I specialize specialize in treating athletes, as the majority of my patients are athletes from local middle and high schools, as well as colleges across the country.
Athletes are unique and the physical demands they place on their bodies deserve specialized care. Most physical therapists generalize in orthopedics and do not have a full understanding of how to treat athletes.
Additionally, most sports rehab facilities are unable to provide the space or equipment to properly challenge athletes in their recovery. I have a complete understanding of how to treat an athlete, focusing not only on the physical but the psychological side of recovery as well. I ensure my athletes are 100% recovered so they can confidently return to the sports they love.
My primary objective is to ensure my patients are 100% ready both mentally and physically to return to sports. Confidence is pivotal for athletes to perform at their highest level. An injured athlete typically lacks confidence and may become fearful of certain tasks such as running, jumping or cutting.
With my expertise and focus on sports rehabilitation, I will guide you through a personalized program in our well-equipped facility to help you to not only recover back to where you were, but to a stronger and more confident you.
I’ve dedicated my practice in Rockville, MD to working with athletes because I understand their unique physical and psychological needs during recovery. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy with extensive experience in sports rehabilitation, I know that generic approaches don’t cut it for competitive athletes.
With personalized, one-on-one sessions, I focus on not just healing your injury, but making you a stronger, more resilient athlete than you were before.
Success stories from athletes who’ve been where you are.
After suffering a torn ACL, Wesley helped me reach my goal of playing soccer for a top college program. During rehab, he was always encouraging and positive which helped me get the most out of each session. His testing was really detailed, thorough and challenging, so when I was cleared to return to play I felt really confident in my strength and abilities. He cares a lot about each of his patients and wants everyone to have a successful return back to their sport. There’s a reason I still choose to work with Wesley even after rehab. He’s such an amazing physical therapist, and even more, an amazing person!

I had a GREAT experience with Wesley during my ACL recovery. Throughout the ten months, he did everything he could to put me in the best position to succeed both mentally and physically. He understood that my rehab was different than the persons next to me, and made me feel very comfortable being honest about about how my knee was feeling. He is extremely knowledgeable and has great work ethic. I definitely recommend!!!

My experience with Wesley is one I will never take for granted or ever forget. He made my ACL rehab experience not only fun but I truly grew a lot as a person in life. He taught me how to trust the process and believe in my knee again which I never thought I could do. Wesley is one of the most dedicated, loyal, supportive, and hardworking people that I have ever met in my life. If it were not for him, I would not be close to where I am now 11 months post-op ACL. Playing lacrosse at a UVA can be rather intimidating after coming back from a torn ACL; however, he makes it all seem less scary. Wesley inspires me to have high expectations and goals for myself which is something I appreciate a ton about him. Most days, he believed in me more than I even believed in myself. I was able to express how I was feeling with him daily and he would accommodate my workouts to that, unlike most trainers who stick to their same protocols. I am so grateful for Wesley and all the tools he has helped me gain. I would recommend seeing him over any other physical therapist in the country. Can’t thank him enough!

Wesley is the absolute best to work with! I got in touch with him to recover from a moderate hamstring tear. From the very beginning, Wesley made it a priority to not just treat me, but to truly educate me. He took the time to explain the purpose and intent behind every exercise, which gave me a deeper understanding of my recovery process and made me feel more confident in the work we were doing. Wesley also worked closely with me to develop a realistic and personalized timeline that aligned with my goals while making sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. He constantly checked in to see how I was feeling—both physically and mentally—and adjusted things as needed to ensure my health remained the top priority. I never once felt rushed or pressured to come back too quickly, which meant the world to me as an athlete navigating the recovery process. I can’t recommend Wesley highly enough. He’s the best of the best!

The typical insurance-based clinic offers 30 minute appointments, which may include overlapping patients, exercises done on your own or with PT aides and passive treatments such as ice/cold packs, e-stim machines, and ultrasound.
Unfortunately, many of these clinics are forced to cram in high volumes of patients due to insurance companies dictating compensation rates. We believe our patients deserve one-on-one attention for hour-long appointments, allowing us to be more thorough in treating the cause of your pain rather than just the symptoms.
We focus on active treatment techniques using exercise, movement, and patient education to eliminate the source of pain and getting you back to your favorite activities.
In traditional settings, patients typically go to therapy 2-3 times a week for at least six weeks. With increasing co-pays, this can easily equate to hundreds of dollars, in addition to taking time out of your busy schedule to go to therapy multiple times per week.
We typically see patients once a week and believe our hour-long sessions allow us to offer more effective care. This enables our patients to achieve their therapy goals more efficiently, saving both time and money.
Maryland is a direct access state, meaning you DO NOT need a physicians referral unless your insurance plan requires one (if you intend on submitting forms for reimbursement). If you do not intend on using your insurance, you do not need a physicians referral.
We accept credit cards, checks, and HSA cards. Payment is expected in full at the end of each treatment session.
See how we address hip mobility, strength, and sport-specific movements in this sample session designed to get athletes back on the field with confidence.
Watch how we rebuild shoulder stability and strength with progressive exercises designed to safely return athletes to throwing, lifting, and overhead sports.
