The typical insurance-based clinic offers 30 minute appointments, which may include overlapping patients, exercises done on your own or with PT aides and passive treatments such as ice/cold packs, e-stim machines, and ultrasound. Unfortunately, many of these clinics are forced to cram in high volumes of patients due to insurance companies dictating compensation rates. We believe our patients deserve one-on-one attention for hour-long appointments, allowing us to be more thorough in treating the cause of your pain rather than just the symptoms.
We focus on active treatment techniques using exercise, movement, and patient education to eliminate the source of pain and getting you back to your favorite activities.
In traditional settings, patients typically go to therapy 2-3 times a week for at least six weeks. With increasing co-pays, this can easily equate to hundreds of dollars, in addition to taking time out of your busy schedule to go to therapy multiple times per week. We typically see patients once a week and believe our hour-long sessions allow us to offer more effective care. This enables our patients to achieve their therapy goals more efficiently, saving both time and money.
Maryland is a direct access state, meaning you DO NOT need a physicians referral unless your insurance plan requires one (if you intend on submitting forms for reimbursement). If you do not intend on using your insurance, you do not need a physicians referral.
We accept credit cards, checks, and HSA cards. Payment is expected in full at the end of each treatment session.
